Making Halloween fun for little kids is easy. They are already thrilled to be dressed up and going trick or treating. But how do you get your “Oh so over it” Tween to join in the fun? I have a helpful Halloween Party Planning kit for you too. You can download your copy below.

How to Create a Fun Halloween Party for Multiple Ages

Invite Friends

Invite kids of all ages to your party little kids and big kids. Encourage costumes by announcing a costume contest, with first second and third prizes for the tween age group (prizes could be iTunes cards or Starbucks cards). But let parents know that all small kids will all win prizes for their costumes.

Halloween Party Food and Decor

Make an older kid only snack area with gory, spooky foods, and a little kid safe area with more fun things like bubbling punch and bags of worms (gummy worms). A Floating ice Hand in the older kids punch could be just the thing to get them excited.

Don’t Forget Halloween Party Tunes

Set the right atmosphere by turning on some Halloween music. Many places will have a Halloween playlist from Spotify to Youtube Music.

Fun Halloween Party Activities

Setting up a spooky Halloween maze in the back yard will be a hit with the older group, and after removing a few of the more spooky pieces, the maze can be used again with the little kids. Having a pumpkin carving contest is also a lot of fun. Older kids can laugh together as they try to come up with the most spooky jack-o-lantern.

Another good activity is having blind boxes that they reach their hands into to touch something gross. Cooked spaghetti can feel like guts. Peeled grapes, eyeballs. There is so many blind boxes you could do for Halloween. They will be squealing and screaming as they touch unknown things in the boxes.

Halloween Parties can be done so that everyone has a good time, big kids and little kids alike. Tweens are too big to have some big Halloween fun, even if they think they are.
